Amazon announced on April 7, 2020, that they will be temporarily suspending their delivery service that has been in competition with UPS and FedEx beginning in June. The shipping service has been available in several cities across the country. This decision comes as the company needs to refocus its resources and capacity on its core delivery operation. Currently, the company is struggling with a demand surge as many customers are under stay-at-home orders to help stop the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 that has caused delivery delays.
