Walmart has launched a new business-to-business procurement website, Walmart Business, in an effort to compete with Amazon. The site offers over 100,000 items and features navigation tailored to organizational shoppers. Walmart also offers multiuser accounts and shared payment information, order histories, and purchasing power across organizations.

Amazon has had its own B2B service, Amazon Business, for a few years, and recently expanded its Buy With Prime tool to all merchants in the U.S. Meanwhile, recent research has found that Amazon sellers are trying to reduce their dependence on the retailer and many are planning to branch out to platforms such as Walmart Marketplace.

The competition between Walmart and Amazon is heating up, as both companies roll out new tools for small businesses and try to capture a larger share of the eCommerce market. It remains to be seen which company will come out on top in the long run.
