In a petition addressed to CEO Jeff Bezos, Amazon warehouse workers demanded to be paid for all time off following the coronavirus outbreak. Inside Media reported that although some warehouse employees were grateful for the company giving them unpaid time off, they still have to deal with work-related issues the COVID-19 has raised. Due to harsh economic times, some employees say that they shouldn’t have to choose between paying their bills and coming to work sick. The petition also demands the company to take more measures to protect its employees from the pandemic, communicate more about these measures, and allow employees to take frequent and regular breaks to wash hands.
