Chinese sellers have recently clocked an all-time high share of sales on the Amazon marketplace. Marketplace Pulse research reported that Chinese sellers are hitting sales that we last saw in November 2020. The sales are proportional to the customer feedback reviews shared.

Chinese sellers are thriving after adopting Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) for storage and inventory fulfilment. American sellers gained market share from November 2020 to March 2022. However, the trend reversed as Chinese sellers regained the lost market share.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce encouraged Chinese sellers to cut reliance on Amazon. Diversifying from relying on Amazon offers a way out. However, Amazon remains the largest US marketplace regardless of the few alternatives like Walmart and eBay. On their part, Chinese sellers still rely on Amazon, with the slogan “Made in China, Sold in Amazon” gaining traction.
